After the Kemmerer Open House, Senator Thomas speaks about his current position on the Wyoming Range -
"I know that energy has been good for Wyoming and we need it for the nation and all that..... but I think there ought to be some restrictions on some of the lands in Wyoming; some of the places that were set aside for the enjoyment in the future and maintaining the characteristics of those places and I think that the Wyoming Range is one of those. So I have been very involved in trying to reduce the implementation of some of the leases that have already been made and trying to see that we don't have any more because I think that this is one of the areas that certainly has values that ought to be maintained."
